Welcome to Riverside

Riverside is a purpose-built care home in Hyde. Our skilled team provides person-centered care, including specialist nursing and dementia care.

Around the home are spacious lounges and dining rooms. We have two conservatories and a kitchenette that residents can use. There’s a hair salon next to reception too and we also have our own shop where residents can buy sweets and newspapers. On warm days, residents enjoy relaxing in our lovely well-kept gardens or having a game of bowls on the bowling green.

We pride ourselves on the transparency of our care quality and fee information - ensuring you can trust us to care from that very first step.

I visited other care homes and Riverside is just brilliant in comparison. They are so patient with my loved one. He has learning difficulties and they make such efforts to understand what he is saying and how he is feeling. They go out of their way to give him what he needs. Anywhere else I would be worried leaving him, but I know I can come home from there and not worry. He is well looked after and safe. I never felt as safe and relaxed. I could tell from day 1 he was alright. They will phone me up and hold the phone up to him so we can speak, and they let him get in touch whenever he wants.

I'm very happy with the home. The staff are well trained, they know what they are doing and they demonstrate genuine care in their work. They try to foster good relationships with all the residents and understand everyone's needs very well. I'm very impressed with the level of communication from the home, they have been so forthcoming with me, I never feel they are holding anything back.

The staff are very compassionate and demonstrate a great deal of empathy in their work. The carers have all developed a strong rapport with my loved one and they go out of their way to make sure he is comfortable and happy, they are very find of him. If there is something on the menu he doesn't like, they arrange with the chef to fix something else, and sometimes they will bring him a little treat... they go beyond the call of duty for him.

Really good in all aspects. They always manage to deliver the best care. The staff are always welcoming and caring. They make everyone feel like a respected individual and treat everyone as a family. They treat it like it is their home.
