This autumn we have joined forces with local food banks and primary school children across the UK to celebrate Harvest Festival.
Residents are joining forces with primary school children across the country to celebrate the annual festival.
Each year, Harvest Festival celebrates the time when crops have been gathered from fields and people can reflect and show gratitude for the food that they have. It dates back to when people relied on local crops for food and famers would give thanks for a good harvest.
As part of our celebration, Care UK homes across the UK are contributing to a food bank drive. From October 1st to October 31st, drop off your extra, unused, or non-perishable food items at our care homes across the country. For every donation made at our homes, Care UK will also be contributing to the local foodbanks, to increase our impact and help more people in need.
If you want to find out more about Care UK’s Harvest Festival, we’ll be sharing more Harvest Festival highlights from our homes on our website.
Care UK care homes up and down the country will open their doors to host sports days for the local community.
