Care UK shortlisted for the Engage Awards

Care UK has reached the finals of the Engage Awards, which seeks to recognise and celebrate excellence in campaigns that support employee recruitment and retention, as well as brand cohesion and consistency. 

Care UK is finalist in two categories - the Great Place to Work category and the Best Use of Innovation in Employee Engagement category. 

The positive experience of Care UK colleagues is crucial to the high-quality care that residents receive across our 155 homes. Care UK’s three core values of caring, passionate, and teamwork underpin everything that colleagues do – regardless of their role. 

This year has continued to highlight that Care UK is somewhere that colleagues want to grow their career – we have seen improved retention, as well as record-breaking net recruitment figures. Care UK continues to invest in initiatives that ensure colleagues are empowered to provide feedback, can easily access employee benefits, and can celebrate milestones together. For example: 

  • We invested in Enboarder, a new communication system for reaching out to colleagues. This means we are able to reach colleagues across our homes who may not have an email address, getting their all-important involvement in surveys, relaying crucial information and, most importantly, delivering messages of thanks. 
  • Our ‘Over to You’ survey is an annual engagement survey which provides our colleagues with further opportunity to provide feedback about their roles, celebrate their successes, and share new ideas. This is in addition to regular meetings and forums throughout the year. 
  • Care UK colleagues have access to Care UK Perks, an online platform offering money-saving discounts for all colleagues.
  • To mark the special occasion of Care UK’s 40th anniversary in 2022, colleagues and residents came together to promote ’40 days of giving back’. This inspirational fundraising campaign resulted in Care UK homes raising more than £43,000 for local charities and for the national Care Workers Charity.

The winners of the Engage Awards will be announced at a ceremony in London on 28th November.
