Mowat Court is a comfortable and welcoming care home in the seaside town of Stonehaven in Scotland. We offer person-centered residential and nursing care including those living with of dementia.

Mowat Court is beautifully furnished, with every thought given to residents’ comfort and relaxation. There are lovely lounges as well as a conservatory, and a hair and beauty salon to help residents to look their best. Each of the bedrooms is spacious and tastefully furnished, and has en-suite facilities, a 24-hour nurse call system plus telephone and television connection points.

We get to know your loved ones interests and plan activities to suit them, from music sessions and quizzes, to pamper afternoons and live entertainment.

Here are just some of the comments we’ve received from family, friends and residents at Mowat Court care home.

Everybody is very approachable and accommodating, the care team lead, the manager, the activities coordinator, everyone. It's a very inclusive place and the staff are always looking for ways to involve residents in what's going on in the home. They ask my loved one what she wants to do or how she wants to plan her day, she gives them different ideas and they take it on - they involve her and make her feel valued. She is a very caring person, so they actively encourage her to visit with other residents, which is proving to be a win!

My loved one has Alzheimer's and the most important aspects of her care now consist of monitoring her health and her comfort, her medical needs and maximising her quality of life on the physical and emotional levels. She receives all-encompassing care, very personal attention in relation to all matters. The staff are very personable and friendly, very approachable and helpful. There have been occasional medical issues to manage since my loved one has been in the home and the staff are all over it; they continue to be extremely responsive to her changing needs and they are unfailingly clear and straightforward in their communications with me.

It's a lovely, welcoming atmosphere. The staff are absolutely wonderful, so friendly and helpful. They make a special effort to get to know each resident so they feel comfortable and safe. They encourage them to get them involved with the activities in the home and keep them engaged with life. The home arranges regular meetings with families to discuss how their loved ones are getting on, and we're invited to join them on day trips and activities in the home... we're made to feel a part of our loved one's life.

Staff are really friendly and keep us up to date with mums needs, they are very attentive.
