Welcome to Lennox House

Our care home in Islington, London, provides quality, tailored care and experiences for older people. Our team offer personalised nursing, residential and dementia care for up to 87 residents. We put your loved one at the heart of their care and everything we do is personalised to their unique needs and wishes.

Lennox House has some lovely facilities, including a hair salon, library, café and a large wheelchair-accessible garden.

Each of the large, comfortable bedrooms has en-suite facilities, a television connection and a 24-hour nurse call system. Your loved one is also welcome to add their own personal touches to make their room feel more like home.

We pride ourselves on the transparency of our care quality and fee information - ensuring you can trust us to care from that very first step.

We’re passionate about helping your loved one to enjoy every day. Our talented team of lifestyle coordinators plans and organises a variety of activities and entertainment for residents to enjoy. We also have strong links with local charities, schools and businesses, and there’s plenty of ways to keep in touch and build new connections in the community.

CQC Rating: Requires improvement

We are working very hard to ensure that the service we provide is of the highest quality. We are aware that CQC have highlighted we need to make improvements to our service, we have a comprehensive service improvement plan in place to ensure we are acting to make changes that will be sustained and embedded. Much progress has already been made and it was reassuring to read that the inspectors found that the team has a caring attitude. We have appointed a new manager who is already completing the CQC Registered Manager process. Please ask the home manager if you wish to discuss the contents of our service improvement plan.

When I’m with my loved one and I hear how the staff communicate with the residents, it’s beautiful, it’s just amazing, and it’s not just for show. When my loved one was very ill, members of staff came up to see him in the hospital to see how we were both doing. They gave us hugs, love and support, just amazing! His care needs are quite complex and they always keep me informed, they let me know if he is having any kind of crisis, I'm involved in it all.

There is a lot going on in the home in terms of activities, and they tailor things to cater to everyone's capabilities, even those who are bedbound. They bring in entertainers and animals, loads of internal things like quizzes, arts and crafts, music and dancing, wellbeing initiatives, manicures and pedicures... they celebrate birthdays and special occasions, and they do everything they can to get everyone involved. They do a great job!

The quality of care is very good, everyone has been extremely understanding and responsive. My loved one has very challenging physical needs and they are very good at anticipating her needs from day to day. The team is well trained and well coordinated, they communicate well with each other so they all know how the residents are doing.

Coming into Lennox House felt so welcoming. The staff are all smiling and ready to help. Residents seem to be very comfortable and happy in their surroundings. It was a joy to visit and connect with the residents.
