My goal at work every day is to make sure every resident is happy and enjoying a stimulating, fulfilling life. I think the only way to achieve this is by making sure that each resident receives truly individualised care from people who’ve invested time in really getting to know them, their needs and their experiences.

What others have to say

Here are just some of the comments we’ve received from family, friends and residents at Mountbatten Grange care home.

A few years ago I spent countless hours looking for the right care home. I visited about 20. Mountbatten Grange was head and shoulders above anywhere I visited. My mother has been there for a few years and they have always gone above and beyond. She is treated well and the entire staff genuinely care about her wellbeing.

My Dad became a resident at Mountbatten Grange in April and has settled really well. His health has improved, he has gained weight and his anxiety levels have visibly decreased. He has spoken very positively about his care, including the activities laid on and the food. All of the staff have been friendly and welcoming and are always willing to give us feedback.

I'm very happy with the care home and the care provided. They recognise and respect my loved one's limitations and support him to be as independent as he can be at this stage in his life, whilst always being on hand to assist. They are all very kind and respectful towards my loved one, always encouraging him to get involved with activities they know he enjoys. I can just see they have his best interests at heart, and I always get a good feeling for them when I visit.

Relative of a resident, March 2024

I investigated various care homes before deciding on Mountbatten Grange. This one has the right combination of things for my loved one, the building and the facilities are very good, but it was the interactions with the staff that really made the difference, along with recommendations from other families that we met there. The staff really take a personal interest in my loved one, they sit and talk with her about her interests and they really make an effort to build up an understanding of what she likes and dislikes so they can make her feel comfortable, engaged and supported.

Relative of a resident, March 2024

It's a wonderful environment and the staff are excellent. They respect the individual needs of each resident and because most of them are permanenet staff they are able to develop a relationship with the residents. The staff are regularly trained and they really know their stuff.
