A care home in Knebworth has celebrated its tenth birthday, welcoming relatives, friends, members of the local community – and a very special guest.
Residents at Care UK’s Knebworth, on London Road, celebrated the special occasion with the help of special guest Father Daniel Cronin, from St Thomas More Church, who delighted attendees by unveiling a special plaque to commemorate the occasion.
Taking advantage of the glorious weather, residents and visitors took the party outside with a garden fete, which featured a tombola and a host of family friendly games, as well as a delicious barbecue specially made by the home’s talented chefs.
Vera Moreira-Henocq, Home Manager at Knebworth, said: “It was lovely to see residents, their families and the local community all come together to celebrate a decade of Knebworth.
“The team worked so hard to make the day a special one and it certainly paid off. Everyone had a wonderful time, and the party provided a great opportunity for residents to spend quality time with family and friends, as well as meet new people. We’d also like to say a huge thanks to Father Daniel for joining us for the occasion too.
“The last ten years have been full of exciting trips, building new relationships and, most importantly, creating lasting memories for those who live here. I’d like to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you to everyone that helps to make Knebworth a wonderful place to live - here’s to the next ten happy years!”
Knebworth delivers a full range of residential care for older people, including short-term respite care, nursing care and specialist care for people living with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia.
