Bromsgrove care home invites blue light workers to collect a special treat

A care home in Bromsgrove is giving blue light workers a morning lift in celebration of Emergency Services Day.

On Monday 9^th September, from 8am-10am, the team at Care UK’s Chandler Court, on Recreation Road, is inviting local blue light workers to stop by the home’s café for breakfast as a small token of thanks for their hard work.

The home will be welcoming those who continue to play a vital role in society for a pitstop during their busy day and Head Chef, Alex Millichamp, will be whipping up some tasty treats, including English breakfast baps, croissants and pastries.

Residents are looking forward to spending time with the VIP visitors and are particularly excited to chat about their line of work.

Lilly Dahms, Home Manager at Chandler Court, said: “The work that blue light workers do in the community is invaluable, and in celebration of Emergency Services Day we wanted to do something special to show our appreciation.

“Our emergency services drop-in café is an excellent opportunity to learn more about members of the community who work in blue light roles, while being able to do something nice for them as a little thank you.

“We hope to put a smile on their faces, as they embark on another busy day. Thank you for all that you do!”

Chandler Court is a state-of-the-art care home which provides full-time residential, dementia and nursing care, as well as short-term respite care.
