Middlesborough care home named one of the best in the region

A care home in Middleborough has been named one of the best in the country by the UK’s leading care home review website for the third time in a row.

The website, carehome.co.uk, annually announces the winners of the Care Home Awards, which recognises the top-rated homes in each region, and Care UK’s The Willows has been listed as one of the best from over 700 care homes in the North East.

Located on Cavendish Road, the home is known for its commitment to enabling residents to lead active and fulfilling lives. One of the celebrated aspects of The Willows is that it provides daily group and one-to-one activities which are led by the lifestyle team.  

The list of the most recommended care homes across the UK is compiled based on both the individual home and the care group review score, which is calculated using reviews provided by service users and relatives. 

With a score of 10, the highest possible rating, 100 per cent of reviewers for The Willows rated the care home as ‘excellent’. 

One review said “The dedication and care from you all have been exceptional your staff go above and beyond anything I've seen before in a care home. I'm grateful to you all. Thank you.”

Another review said: “Absolutely wonderful care home, staff are lovely and always have time to have a chat with you… The entertainment is brilliant, I can’t fault this care home.”

Another said: “They [staff] deserve so much credit and recognition for going above and beyond with our family and I would not hesitate to recommend this care home to anybody. Fantastic team, well done, keep up the great work – you have no idea how much you're appreciated.”
