Party time! Frome care come celebrates tenth birthday

A care home in Frome has celebrated its tenth birthday in style, with the help of the local community. 

Residents at Care UK’s Rossetti House, on Welshmill Lane, pulled out all the stops for a special birthday bash, ten years after it welcomed it’s very first residents.

Residents, relatives and friends of the home had the opportunity to tap their feet and sing-along to live music from a ukulele band, while sipping on a cocktail to mark the special occasion. Ensuring the scene was set for the birthday bash, the team decorated the home’s bistro with birthday banners and balloons. 

Joining in the celebrations was four of Rossetti House’s original team members, Caroline Woodruff, Senior Carer, Michelle Truscott, Sous Chef, Sarah Welsh and Stephanie Kester form the housekeeping team, who have each worked at Rossetti House since it opened its doors in 2012.  

Commenting on the celebration, resident Ann said: “It was so much fun! I loved seeing our ladies getting their awards and it all looked so pretty.” 

Resident, Sarah, added: “My favourite was the Ukulele band – they were great!”

 

Phil Vale, General Manager at Rossetti House, said: “It was wonderful to see residents singing and dancing to toast our special milestone, and to have the local community join us to celebrate really was the cherry on the birthday cake!

“The whole team worked hard to organise the event, and I am delighted to say that their efforts were rewarded – our birthday party will definitely be one to remember for years to come. I would like to say a big thank you to everyone who makes Rossetti House an amazing place to call home, and for helping to make the day extra special. 

“It’s been a busy ten years. We’ve welcomed some real characters to the home, built relationships with brilliant local organisations, and worked hard to create a homely environment for everyone who spends time with us here at Rossetti House. We’re excited to see what’s in store for the next ten years and beyond!”

Designed to enable residents to live active and fulfilled lives, while also promoting independence, Rossetti House incorporates space for hobby and leisure activities. The building has been designed to help facilitate the creation of close-knit communities and encourage social interaction among the residents.
