An event yule not want to miss – Cheltenham care home invites local people to join in festive fun

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas at a care home in Cheltenham, which is inviting the local community through its doors for some festive fun.

On Saturday 3^rd December, from 2pm-4.30pm, Sandfields, on St Georges Road, is inviting local people to get into the festive spirit by joining residents and team members at the hoe’s Christmas fair. 

Visitors will be able to do their Christmas shopping at a variety of stalls, with homemade gifts, decorations, and homemade cards on offer. There will also be a tombola and plenty of fun, family-friendly games to enjoy, including a giant advent calendar, as well as an abundance of everyone’s favourite festive treats – mince pies and mulled wine.

Malaika Browne, Home Manager at Sandfields, said: “Here at Sandfields, we strive to play an active role in our community, which is why we’re thrilled to be opening our doors to local people for a festive extravaganza. 

“Not only is the fair a wonderful chance for everyone to get into the Christmas spirit, but it’s a lovely opportunity for residents to reminisce over their happy Christmas memories, share stories, and meet new people.

Sandfields is a state-of-the-art care home which provides full-time residential, nursing, dementia and short-term respite care. The care home incorporates space for hobby and leisure activities and includes its own cinema, hair salon and café.
