Middlesborough care home named in the top 20 in the region

A care home in Middlesborough has been named one of the best in the county by the UK’s leading care home review website.

The website, carehome.co.uk, annually announces the winners of the Care Home Awards and The Willows has been listed in the top 20 from over 700 care homes in the North East.

The Care UK home, located on Cavendish Road, is known for enabling residents to lead active and fulfilling lives. Residents at The Willows enjoy daily group and one-to-one activities which are led by the lifestyle team. 

The list of the most recommended care homes across the UK is compiled based on both the individual home and care group review score, which is calculated using reviews provided by service users and relatives. 

With a score of ten out of ten, the highest possible rating, 85% of reviewers for The Willows rated the care home as ‘excellent’. 

One review said: “Fantastic care home! Cannot give them enough credit. I have worked in healthcare for 11 years and I have to say, the care, compassion and understanding from the staff here was some of the best I've ever seen! My nana was transferred here for end-of-life care after becoming unwell and from start to end, the experience for both her and the family was incredible….Fantastic team, well done, keep up the great work – you have no idea how much you're appreciated.”
