The local community joined residents at a Bromsgrove care home for an afternoon of fun, exercising their vocal cords.
The team at Care UK’s Chandler Court, on Recreation Road, welcomed the people of Bromsgrove for a day of summer fun – complete with arts and crafts, special entertainment and an array of delicious treats.
The summer open day saw visitors and residents getting into the party spirit and enjoying live music from the singing group, Primrose Choir, who sang some of the residents’ favourite tunes. The group raises money for Bromsgrove-based Primrose Hospice, performing across care homes and encouraging residents to get involved.
Guests were also treated to sweet treats, including handmade lemon curd macarons and vanilla fudge, prepared specially by the home’s chef.
Vongai Mushinga, Home Manager at Chandler Court, said: “We had such a lovely day in the sun welcoming the local community of Bromsgrove into our home. It was fantastic to see everybody together again and enjoying themselves for one last summer hurrah.
“Here at Chandler Court, we are always seeking new and exciting activities for residents to enjoy. Hosting an open day with a musical group singing all the classics was a fantastic opportunity to bring everyone together.
“We’d like to thank everybody for coming, especially our wonderful singers, Primrose Choir!”
