A care home in Cringleford has celebrated its seventh birthday, welcoming relatives, friends and members of the local community to join in with the festivities.
Residents at Care UK’s Cavell Court, on Dragonfly Lane, celebrated the special occasion with a summer fete for their nearest and dearest – complete with fun activities and party food.
Taking advantage of the glorious weather, residents and visitors took the party outside to the home’s gardens, where everyone enjoyed trying their luck on the tombola and raffle, and enjoyed a tasty treat from a hot dog stand, as well as sandwiches and cakes specially made by the home’s talented chefs.
Karen Curle, Home Manager at Cavell Court, said: “It was lovely to see residents, their families, the local community – and even a few furry friends – all come together to celebrate seven years of Cavell Court.
“The team worked so hard to make the day a special one and it certainly paid off. Everyone had a wonderful time, and the party provided a great opportunity for residents to spend quality time with family, and meet some new, friendly faces too.
“The last seven years have been full of exciting trips, building new relationships and, most importantly, creating lasting memories for those who live here. I’d like to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you to everyone that helps to make Cavell Court a wonderful place to live – here’s to the next seven happy years!”
Cavell Court is a modern care home which provides full-time residential, nursing and dementia care, as well as short-term respite care.
