A Mildenhall care home was delighted to celebrate Chinese New Year. 

To mark the occasion, residents enjoyed a tasting session of Chinese cuisine, created by the home’s head chef, as well as creating their own hand fans. 

Residents and team members celebrated the year of the tiger and discussed their favourite memories of the celebration the tradition in their younger days.

Noby Chelathadathil Jacob, Home Manager at Mildenhall Lodge, said: “Everyone had a fantastic time marking the yearly milestone of Chinese New Year.

“Here at Mildenhall Lodge, we enjoy celebrating and learning about different cultures, and residents are always keen to try new food and share their own experiences of different countries and their traditions. The evening menu was a real hit – I think we’ll be having a few more Chinese-inspired dishes on our menu in the coming weeks!”
