A care home in Edinburgh was joined by some unusual friends for a special afternoon of animal fun.
Residents at Cairdean House, on Redford Road, gathered to welcome three friendly alpacas, Golden Belle, Butterscotch and Roxy Music, which were given a tour of the home, where they received plenty of fuss and attention.
As part of the animal therapy session, residents learnt about the history and characteristics of alpacas, as well as other interesting facts about the calming animals.
Gillian Goodall, Home Manager at Cairdean House, said: “We had a wonderful afternoon meeting Golden Belle, Butterscotch and Roxy Music.
“Here at Cairdean House, we are always looking for new and exciting activities for residents to enjoy.
