Nailed it – Godalming care home opens new beauty bar

The residents of a Godalming care home have celebrated the opening of a brand-new in-house nail bar. 

Care UK’s Broadwater Lodge, on Summers Road, which already has its own pub and farm, has added a new nail bar to its growing range of unique social spaces. 

 

To mark the opening of the nail bar, named ‘A Touch of Class’, the care home team hosted a special event for residents, complete with balloons, a glass of bubbly and a ribbon cutting ceremony. 

Resident at Broadwater Lodge, Muriel cut the ribbon to officially open the nail bar and was first in line to have a manicure. Commenting on the opening celebrations, Muriel said: “I enjoyed cutting the ribbon, and being first in line to have my nails done alongside my fellow resident and friend Shirley”.

“In addition to cinema and hair salon, we have opened a pub, a sweet shop, and a farm at Broadwater Lodge in recent years, and now we have a nail bar too – because who doesn’t enjoy being pampered? 

“Everyone loves the nail bar, including the male residents who are partial to a manicure and hand massage. Our nail bar offers the perfect solution for a relaxing afternoon where residents can receive their treatment while enjoying a glass of bubbly or a cup of tea – and we are confident this will continue to be a much-loved staple of Broadwater Lodge.”
