Fifth birthday bonanza for Eye care home

Residents and team members at an Eye care home took part in celebrations to mark the home’s fifth birthday.

The Care UK team at Hartismere Place, on Castleton Way, created homemade decorations and residents enjoyed a birthday cake while toasting the special milestone.

Abhilash Gopi, Home Manager at Hartismere Place, said: “Hartismere Place has had many memorable moments over the past five years, and we had a fantastic time celebrating the successes and good times with residents.

“After a challenging year, it was wonderful to celebrate something positive. Whether it was making decorations for the home, or enjoying a slice of cake, everyone certainly celebrated in style!”

Rated by the Care Quality Commission as ‘Outstanding’, Hartismere Place has been praised for providing a high level of person-centred care and for the positive and caring relationships team members have established with residents. The home also has strong connections with the local community, playing an active role in initiatives such as the Eye Sculpture Trail and Eye Twinning Association.
