A care home in Eye is inviting the local community to get into the festive spirit at its very own Christmas party.
On Tuesday 10th December, from 2.30pm-4.30pm, Care UK’s Hartismere Place, on Castleton Way, is welcoming members of the community to join residents and team members to kick-start the festive season with a special Christmas event ‘yule’ not want to miss.
Guests will be able to sing Christmas carols, while enjoying a variety of refreshments including everyone’s favourite festive treats, mince pies and mulled wine.
Claire Martin, Home Manager at Hartismere Place, said: “Here at Hartismere Place, we’re already getting our Christmas jumpers on and counting down until the big day – which is why we’re excited to be kicking off the festivities with our very own Christmas event.
“We strive to play an active role in our community, and we’re delighted to be opening the doors to our neighbours to enjoy the festivities together. Residents are already warming up their vocal chords to ensure they hit the right note for our Christmas sing-along. The event is also a wonderful opportunity for them to reminisce over Christmas memories, share stories and meet new people.
“We’re looking forward to welcoming everyone for what we expect will be a lovely day for all – I can hear the jingle bells already!”
Hartismere Place has been designed to deliver the very best standards of care and to enable residents to live active and fulfilled lives. The home provides full-time residential, residential dementia, as well as short term respite care. The team also operates a day centre, the Hartismere Place Day Club, open to the community throughout the week.
