Witney care home thanks local community for their support

Witney care home thanks local community for their supportA care home in Witney has thanked those who have gone the extra mile to support residents throughout the coronavirus pandemic, from members of the community to its dedicated team.

Care UK’s Millers Grange, on Curbridge Road, has expressed its gratitude for the consideration and generosity shown by the people of Witney over the past couple of months.

From volunteering, to delivering messages and artwork to brighten everyone’s day, individuals and organisations have pulled together to support the older members of the community, and Care UK homes across the country have been overwhelmed by the kind gestures of local people.

Millers Grange has been inundated with support, receiving tokens of appreciation from Poundland, Sandwich de Witney, as well as handmade scrub bags from the West Witney WI. Residents were delighted to receive postcards from Beam Holistic Therapy, as well as artistic creations from the youngsters at St Hugh of Lincoln Nursery School.

Whether it’s baking for a resident’s birthday, keeping the morale up through creative activities or setting up a hedgehog house in the garden, team members at Miller’s Grange have also been praised for their unwavering dedication and relentless efforts over the past few months.

Dot Pye, home manager at Miller’s Grange, said: “We are incredibly grateful to everyone who has supported us over the past couple of months, whether that be through volunteering, sending tokens of appreciation, or drawing beautiful pictures to brighten everyone’s day.

“Every single thought, message and gesture has helped to raise the spirits of our fantastic team and has brightened the days of residents missing their families. It really has kept everyone going.

“On behalf of everyone at Millers Grange, thank you so much.”

Miller’s Grange has been designed to deliver the very best standards of care and to enable residents to live active and fulfilled lives. The home provides full-time residential dementia and respite care.
