A care home in Eye will be opening its doors to the community this Christmas and inviting local people to spend the day with residents and team members.
Care UK’s Hartismere Place, on Castleton Way, is welcoming those who may otherwise spend Christmas day alone to enjoy a traditional roast dinner, festive games and entertainment. The home is also able to arrange transport for those who need it on the day.
The activities take place on Christmas Day, and people can book a place by calling 01379 873950.
Abhilash Gopi, home manager at Hartismere Place, said: “We understand that Christmas can sometimes be difficult for those living alone. Supporting the community is an important part of life here at Hartismere Place, and we’re keen to provide a welcoming environment for those looking to spend time with neighbours this Christmas.
“Preparations are already under way for the big day, and we are looking forward to welcoming local people to enjoy the festivities with us!”
Hartismere Place has been designed to deliver the very best standards of care and to enable residents to live active and fulfilled lives. The home provides full-time residential and nursing care, as well as short-term respite. Hartismere Place also runs a day club, which offers older people living independently in the community the chance to make new friends and take part in enjoyable activities.
