An Islington care home is inviting the local community to find out more about bone health at its free advice event.
On Wednesday 23rd October, from 2.30pm-4.30pm, Care UK’s Lennox House, on Durham Road, will be joined by the team from Whittington Health and Community Physio.
They will be on hand to help people understand the importance of bone health, and will offer practical advice on nutrition, exercise and arthritis support for those caring for an older relative.
After the event, visitors will have the opportunity to meet the friendly team at Lennox House and take a tour of the care home.
Home manager at Lennox House, Sibusisiwe Moyo, said: “Bones play many important roles in the body; they provide structure, protect the organs and anchor the muscles, so it’s essential to keep them healthy as we age. Our event aims to offer professional knowledge and insight to those who need it – as well as providing a hub for shared experiences.
“We are delighted to welcome the Whittington Health and Community Physio team to share their best practical tips with us, and we look forward to welcoming the local community through our doors for what promises to be an interesting day of information and guidance.”
Lennox House has been designed to enable residents to live active and fulfilled lives. The home provides full-time residential, nursing and specialist dementia care, as well as short-term respite care.
