The team at Millers Grange were joined by developer and construction partner, Lawrence Baker, and guest of honour, Deputy Mayor Councillor Howard Chirgwin.
The project is on track to create more than 80 jobs when the care home is fully commissioned, and will welcome its first residents early next spring.
Steve Reader, home manager at Millers Grange, said: “As the latest addition to a growing portfolio of residential care homes, Millers Grange represents a major investment for Care UK. When complete, the purpose-built care home will boost the provision of quality residential care for up to 52 people, as well as creating jobs for the local community.
“I am delighted to have been part of this milestone as we step ever-closer to opening the doors to older people in Witney. I am thrilled that Deputy Mayor Councillor Howard Chirgwin was able to join us for the occasion, and I look forward to welcoming him back to see the home once complete.”
Gareth Williams, construction manager, at Lawrence Baker, who is overseeing the development in Witney, added: “Our team is delighted to have marked this key stage in the construction programme with our partners at Care UK. This project will deliver beautifully-designed individual accommodation for residents, complemented by high-quality communal facilities, and we’re all excited to see the impressive building beginning to take shape.”
