On Saturday 21st April, from 2.30pm-4.30pm, the team at Farm Lane will be opening the doors to the care home for a free family-friendly event. The day is in celebration of Care Home Open Day, a countrywide initiative to create lasting relationships between care homes and their local communities.
To commemorate the Queen’s 92nd birthday, Farm Lane has organised a royal-inspired party to celebrate the open day. With homemade crowns at the ready, entertainment will include a fun-filled afternoon of activities and crafts. The home’s two eldest residents are looking forward to greeting guests whilst dressed as king and queen, and there will be a banquet fit for royalty on offer for all to enjoy.
Petruta Ionescu, home manager at Farm Lane said: “Care Home Open Day provides residents and the Care UK team with a fantastic opportunity to welcome the local community in to Farm Lane. There is already a buzz around the home, as residents prepare for the big day. We hope that the people of Fulham will join us in celebrating the Queen’s birthday and making this year’s Care Home Open Day one to remember.”
