Falconry UK joined residents for the occasion and brought with a number of feathered friends with them including, an Asian night owl, Kestrel and a Falcon.
Wendy Harvey, home manager at Davers Court said: “The birdwatch is a popular activity with residents every year, so we were delighted to welcome relatives, Falconry UK, and the public to join us for the big event. All of the residents enjoyed taking part, and learning more about the wildlife in our garden.
“Outdoor activities are important for both physical and mental wellbeing, and have many benefits for older people, particularly for those who are living with dementia. Birdwatching can act as a valuable reminiscence activity, as the distinctive sights and sounds of birds in the garden can help evoke memories. This year was another success, and we’d like to thank everyone for joining us.”
