From 12.30pm the team at Davers Court will be opening the doors to the care home for a free family-friendly event. The day is in celebration of Care Home Open Day, a countrywide initiative to create lasting relationships between care homes and their local communities.
Davers Court has organised a summer garden party to celebrate the open day. Guests will be able to enjoy entertainment from local musicians, ‘Now N Then’, who will help get everyone in the party spirit with classics from the 50s and 60s.
There will also be a tasty barbecue prepared specialty by the home’s chefs, followed by a cream tea on the lawn.
Wendy Harvey, home manager at Davers Court, said: “Care Home Open Day is about connecting people and enriching the lives of residents through lasting relationships with the local community across the generations.
“We cannot wait to open our doors to the community to showcase everything Davers Court has to offer and the difference care homes make to residents’ lives and their wellbeing. We have planned a fun day for all the family and a warm welcome awaits the people of Bury St Edmunds.”
