From 12 noon until 4pm, the team at Paisley Court will be opening the doors to the care home for a free family-friendly event. The day is in celebration of Care Home Open Day, a countrywide initiative to create lasting relationships between care homes and their local communities.
There will be an afternoon of live entertainment at Paisley Court, with performances from vocalist, Steve Khan, and the Gospel Choir Group. Afternoon tea will be available and there will be activities for children to enjoy as well as a raffle for those feeling lucky. All those who drop-by on the day can take a tour of the care home and meet residents and the Care UK team at Paisley Court.
Amanda Ashton, home manager at Paisley Court, said: “Care Home Open Day is about connecting people and enriching the lives of residents through building lasting relationships with the local community across the generations.
“Opening our doors is also a great opportunity to show what life is really like in a modern care home; and we hope to change any preconceptions people might have while also showing everything Paisley Court has to offer.
“We have got a fun day of activities planned and are really looking forward to getting behind Care Home Open Day on Friday 17th June and welcoming the people of Liverpool to be a part of it.”
Visitors to the Care Home Open Day event at Paisley Court will also be able to pick up their copy of Care UK’s Eating as we Age. The latest in a series of free guides for family carers, Eating as we age is packed with hints and tips for keeping healthy and hydrated in older age. The guide can also be downloaded free at www.careuk.com/eat
