Davers Club members celebrate National Beer Day

Members at Care UK’s Davers Club in Bury St Edmunds enjoyed a reminiscent afternoon in celebration of National Beer Day earlier this month.

Sue Atkins, manager at Davers Club, said: “National Beer Day was great fun and a great opportunity for all the club members to come together and reminisce about their favourite tipple and times they used to visit their old local pub. Six beers were sampled in total and we liked them all!

“Reminiscence and sensory activities are popular in the Club as they hold many benefits, particularly for those living with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia."

The Davers Club, on Shakers Lane in Bury St Edmunds, offers flexible day care for older people living locally, with a range of activities to suit all tastes including crafts, gentle exercise, gardening and baking. Club members can also access the cinema, hair salon and coffee shop in the adjacent Davers Court care home.

For more information about the Davers Club call the manager Sue on 0333 321 1982.
