There will be free family fun for all at Care UK’s Tall Trees care home in Colchester, on Saturday 3rd August, when the residents and team hold their annual summer spectacular.
As well as lots of stalls, there will be face painting, tombola’s, a raffle, refreshments and entertainment.
Katherine Foley, home manager at Tall Trees, said: “Our local accordionist Jason will be providing the entertainment. He has visited us several times before and he is very popular with the residents.”
There will be games too for young and old, including a straw game variation on the classic lucky dip and a chance to win bottles of wine on an ‘Is it full or isn’t it?’ game for the adults.
Katherine said: “We hope that the fine weather will return as our kitchen team are planning a barbecue, along with some very tasty salads, to tempt visitors, and I know people are busy baking cakes and preparing stalls for what promises to be a great family event.
“Our residents are really looking forward to it and many of them will be joined for the afternoon by their children and grandchildren.”
The fun, at the home in Oaks Place, off Mile End Road, runs between 2-4pm and admission is free.
