We will be working with our close neighbours and those further afield to ensure we stay connected to local life.
We also recognise the importance of integrating the team and residents into the local community, so we’ve included some information about how we plan to support local charities, partner with local groups and ultimately provide a hub of support for the elderly Wilmslow community
Our regular newsletters and FAQs provide key information and updates about the progress of construction.

We have secured planning permission to build a 60-bed care home at 107-109 Manchester Road, in Wilmslow. Works will be carried out by our construction partner, Russell WBHO.
Building is due to start in January 2023.
The care home is due to be complete by Spring 2025.
We’re committed to improving the provision of residential and specialist care in the area, which is limited at present. Our homes offer a wide range of care to suit a variety of needs, including residential, nursing and specialist dementia care as well as compassionate end of life care. We’re confident our expertise will benefit older people from Wilmslow and further afield.
We appreciate some elements of the works may lead to localised disruption. We’re working closely with our construction partner to ensure it is managed and mitigated in an efficient manner, operating within the parameters set out by the local authority.
We’ll also ensure that residents will be made aware of any works that may cause disruption in advance.
We are committed to managing and mitigating noise as much as possible. We’ll also be keeping to the agreed site opening and working hours, as set out by the local authority.
Once again, residents will be notified of any works which may cause loud construction noise.
In line with our approved planning proposal, we have already undertaken the majority of the tree removal works, though some isolated pruning remains to be organised across the site to ensure we can safely build our care home.
We are working with a landscape architect to ensure our care home’s gardens incorporate many trees, and we’ll share more details once we’re able.
As part of the planning process, we’ve taken extensive surveys and have worked with an ecologist, who has provided a number of recommendations we’ll be following.
This includes providing eight bat boxes across the site, improving the potential for bat roosting across the site, as well as six bird boxes.
As with all of our landscape schemes, we will also add native plants and shrubs to our future care home garden, as well as incorporating garden features that enables wildlife to thrive.
Once complete, the care home will feature 31 parking spaces.
The local area has a great provision of public transport – including several bus lines and a train station, which is just a short walk away from the site of our future care home. Therefore, as outlined within our initial plans, we will be encouraging visitors and team members to consider alternative forms of transport to reduce the number vehicles arriving on site.
Many residents who will be moving into our Wilmslow home will likely have lived in the local area for many years, if not their whole lives. They’re a part of the community – and moving into a care home shouldn’t change this.
The interior design of the home will reflect the local area too. This includes having pictures of regional landmarks, but also naming the suites after things that are reminiscent of Wilmslow and its history – from famous residents to well-known places.
Having great relationships with our neighbours is essential to us. Many of our homes regularly team up with local schools and nurseries to create meaningful experiences for both residents and children, and we often support local community groups through fundraising activities and donations.
We also love to open our care homes to the community. We’re planning to open our doors to our neighbours as often as we can and host an array of events, including open days, coffee mornings, afternoon teas and bigger seasonal fetes.
Finally, we’re always on hand to offer advice and guidance to those who need it, especially when it comes to caring for a loved one living with dementia. Many team members in our care homes undergo specialist training to become Dementia Champions and share their knowledge with the local community through free events, such as ‘Understanding Dementia’.
Our homes are designed to facilitate the creation of close-knit communities within the home. Each suite has its own set of ensuite bedrooms, a dining room and a lounge where residents can enjoy activities or a chat with our caring team members.
We pride ourselves on our activity-based care approach, giving older people an opportunity to continuing enjoying past hobbies or discovering new ones. Our homes also have wishing trees, with residents encouraged to write down their wishes so the team can make them come true. No wish is too big or too small – we’ve organised fish and chip suppers by the sea, but also sky dives and even a trip to the Vatican!
Residential and dementia care services as well as compassionate end-of-life care.
All of our openings will be added to our online careers portal – do not hesitate to check regularly for new listings.
Yes. We’ll be adding regular updates to this page and share a newsletter with the home’s neighbourhood every two months.
