A care home in Leatherhead pulled out all the stops to mark a special anniversary.
It was party time at Care UK’s Liberham Lodge, on Rectory Lane, as residents and team members came together to celebrate the home’s seventh birthday.
On the day, team members organised a host of games and musical activities to get everyone’s toes tapping, including face painting which was enjoyed by younger guests.
Adding to the festivities, the home’s Head Chef prepared a traditional barbeque for everyone to enjoy, while listening to entertainment by a DJ.
Commenting on the celebration, Liberham Lodge resident, Barbara Wilson, said: “I had such a wonderful time. You're never too old for good fun, good music and a good party!”
Jagpal Singh, General Manager at Liberham Lodge, said: “We had a fantastic time celebrating our seventh birthday in true Liberham Lodge fashion – with plenty of music!
“The past seven years have been filled with fantastic moments for everyone at the home, residents, and team members alike, and we have no plans to slow down as we look ahead to creating more memorable experiences for residents in the next seven – and beyond.
“I’d like to extend a huge thank you to our dedicated team for making Liberham Lodge a wonderful place to call home – this was certainly a birthday party to remember!”
Designed to enable residents to live active and fulfilled lives, while also promoting independence, Liberham Lodge incorporates space for hobby and leisure activities. The layout of the building has been configured to help facilitate the creation of close-knit communities and encourage social interaction among the residents.
