Care UK colleagues are celebrating after success at this year’s Stars of Social Care Awards.
The awards shine a light on the stars of social care, paying tribute to the care workforce, who, through dedication and a commitment to care, go above and beyond to support those who are most vulnerable.
The awards ceremony was hosted by TV host Josie Gibson at the London Marriott Hotel, on the 15th June 2024.
Care UK won the Recruitment and Retention award, where statistics drew the attention of the judging panel. This was particularly true of the results of Care UK’s most recent employee satisfaction survey, which saw 97% of all colleagues say that they “feel proud of the work [they] do”.
Chloe Williams, Head of HR Operations, said; “We work extremely hard to encourage and develop teams across Care UK, with a real focus on the employee experience from application, through to ensuring a positive work environment focusing on engagement, development, health and wellbeing and reward and recognition.. We are so pleased to see our efforts celebrated at these prestigious awards.”
Lisa West, Reminiscence Co-ordinator, at Cranford Grange in Knutsford, received a high commendation in the Dementia Specialist category. Lisa said: “My passion has always been to work in the dementia community, and being recognised for all of my efforts across the years is such an honour.”
