A care home in Cambridge is inviting the local community to learn more about funding.
On Friday 20th October, from 2pm-2.30pm, Care UK’s Heathlands House on Bullen Close is inviting members of the community to learn more about funding long-term care with a helpful advice session.
Aimed at those considering moving into a care home themselves or supporting loved ones with the decision, the expert team at Heathlands House will be joined by guest speaker Penny Griffiths, from Eldercare, for the event.
Attendees will be able to learn more about the benefits available, gain further understanding into the new social care cap, and cover legal topics such as Power of Attorney.
There will also be a Q&A session as well as an opportunity to meet and chat to other like-minded individuals.
Razvan Stanbeca, Home Manager at Heathlands House, said: “Here at Heathlands House, we know choosing the right care home for yourself – or a loved one – is an incredibly important decision, which is why we’re keen to offer as much support as possible.
“This event will offer an excellent opportunity to have any queries or concerns answered and provide useful insight into the help available when it comes to funding long-term care and we hope it will offer peace of mind to those in the process of choosing a care home.
“We’re delighted to be joined by Penny Griffiths for what we anticipate will be a helpful session for all visitors and look forward to welcoming the community to Heathlands House!”
Designed to enable residents to live active and fulfilled lives, while also promoting independence, Heathlands House incorporates space for hobby and leisure activities both indoors and out. The layout of the building has been configured into a series of individual suites, each having a dedicated lounge and dining room to help facilitate the creation of close-knit communities.
