Let the good vibes roll! Woolmer Green care home invites local community to a festival to remember

A new festival is coming to Woolmer Green – and you won’t believe where it’s taking place.

On Saturday 1^st July, from 2pm-5pm, Care UK’s Knebworth, on London Road, is set to hit the right note as it opens its doors to local people for its very own festival of Indian culture. 

The fun-filled festival comes as Knebworth celebrates Care Home Open Week, a national initiative that encourages care homes to open their doors and showcase what life in a care home is really like. 

In a celebration of Indian culture, Knebworth will see guests invited to dance along to live entertainment from talented team member, Amala Ambrosia, who will be performing a variety of traditional songs – sure to get the party started.

There will be an opportunity to learn about the intricate art of henna design, as well as to try some Bollywood dancing. Visitors will also be treated to a range of traditional Indian dishes, specially prepared by the home’s talented Head Chef.

For older people, learning about other cultures can help in prompting conversation and connection with those around them, while watching live music can help bring back happy memories.
