Let the good vibes roll! Hartlepool care home invites local community to a festival to remember

A new festival is coming to Hartlepool – and you won’t believe where it’s taking place. 

On Thursday 29^th June, from 12pm-8pm Care UK’s Elwick Grange, on Elwick Road, is set to hit the right note as it opens its doors to local people for its brand-new Summer Festival.

The fun-filled festival comes as Elwick Grange celebrates Care Home Open Week, a national initiative that encourages care homes to open their doors and showcase what life in a care home is really like.

The special event will see guests invited to dance along to live entertainment from a variety of local community groups who will be performing a range of classic tunes – sure to get the party started.

Visitors will also be able to try their hand at some family-friendly fairground games, including hook-a-duck and a coconut shy. There will also be a traditional festival treats available, including hotdogs specially prepared by the home’s talented Head Chef.

Wendy Winspear, Home Manager at Elwick Grange, commented: “We have our dancing shoes (and wellies!) at the ready as we gear up to celebrate Care Home Open Week and get set to welcome summer in style.

Elwick Grange is a modern care home which provides full-time residential and short-term respite care.
