Ashford care home named in top 20 care homes in Kent

A care home in Ashford is celebrating after being named one of the best in the county by the UK’s leading care home review website. 

Care UK’s Montfort Manor, on Kennington Road, was listed as one of the best from over 700 care homes in the South East in the carehome.co.uk awards.

The awards are based on over 120,000 independent reviews posted on the carehome.co.uk website and are written by residents and relatives of those living in care homes across the country.

With a score of 10, the highest possible rating, 100% of reviewers for Montfort Manor rated the care home as ‘excellent’ and were also ‘extremely likely’ to recommend the care home to others. 

Known for its commitment to enabling residents to lead active and fulfilling lives, Montfort Manor provides daily group and one-to-one activities led by the lifestyle team. Reviews praised the facilities on offer at the home, including a hair salon and cinema, and the quality of the meals available which are specially prepared by the home’s chef.

One review said: “From day one, she settled straight in and the loneliness and stress of living alone suddenly went away. She has become a different person. She has regained her confidence, has been able to sit and have conversations, she has been eating properly and keeping hydrated. 

“This is all solely down to the amazing staff at Montfort. They have not only changed my mum's life but also changed mine. They are all extremely friendly and loving and treat my mother as if she's the only resident. I will never be able to thank them enough.”
