Local care home invites Ware residents to understand dementia

A care home in Ware is inviting the local community to a free, online event for families caring for those living with dementia.

On Wednesday 8^th September, from 2pm-3.30pm, local people are invited to attend a virtual Understanding Dementia event hosted by Care UK’s Snowdrop House on Baldock Street. 

Dementia specialist, Dr Nori Graham, who is the Vice President of the Alzheimer’s Society and has extensive experience in healthcare for older people, will be covering topics to help people understand what it is like to live with dementia. There will also be support and practical advice on what dementia is and how memories are lost, as well as useful tips on how to overcome communication barriers and discover positive approaches to living with the condition.
