Welcome to Snowdrop House

Our purpose-built care home in Ware, Hertfordshire provides round the clock care combined with a luxurious lifestyle. The team at Snowdrop House deliver personalised care services for older people, including residential care, nursing care, and short-term respite care. We also offer sensitive, supportive palliative and end of life care.

Snowdrop House is more like a hotel than a care home. It’s spacious and light, with its own hair salon, coffee shop, comfortable lounges, and a cinema. Each bedroom is individually styled and has its own en-suite facilities. Many of the rooms on the ground floor have their own patio doors, opening directly onto our lovely gardens.

We pride ourselves on the transparency of our care quality and fee information - ensuring you can trust us to care from that very first step.

The dedicated and experienced team at Snowdrop House will provide your loved one with care that is completely tailored to their individual needs and wishes.

My favourite part of the working day is motivating the staff to ensure the residents are their main focus of the day, creating memorable moments, laughter and joy. My biggest professional challenge so far has been saving a person's life and then continue to watch them grow and flourish.

They are quick to talk to us as a family and interact with us, and if they feel we need to know about something or they have any concerns about our loved one, they call right away. They are so approachable and very responsive to what is going on with the residents in the home. We always feel we are an important part of everything. I have every confidence in them.

The staff are so considerate and caring in their work. The way they speak to my loved one when they give her personal care is lovely. She changed rooms recently and the way they handled the whole move to make her feel comfortable was amazing, not just pushing her from one room to another, they kept asking her how she feels about the room, making it an event rather than just a move.

Whenever we are there, everyone is very polite, warm and welcoming, even the cleaning staff say hello and give us a smile. The carers really care for the residents, you can tell. My loved one is a difficult woman and has dementia, she gives them the run around and they seem to like her still. Always with patience, always with dignity, always with a smile.
