An Ashford care home has raised over £300 for The Alzheimer’s Society.
Team members, residents and relatives of Care UK’s Montfort Manor, on Kennington Road, all helped to organise donated items for a special festive raffle which raised £316 for the charity. The care home team sold over 300 tickets, and the prizes on offer included festive treats, bottles of wine and pamper kits.
The Alzheimer’s Society is the leading dementia charity in the UK and provide support services for people living with dementia and their families. They have a helpline which is open seven days a week, so that information and advice is always available when needed.
Cheryl Shorter, Home Manager at Montfort Manor, added: “Christmas is for thinking of others, and our incredible team wanted to support The Alzheimer’s Society, an organisation that is close to the hearts of many of us at Montfort Manor.
“We know just how difficult this year has been, and helping charities such as the Alzheimer’s Society is more important than ever. They provide vital support for people across the UK and need donations to continue making a difference.
“We would like to thank everyone who purchased a ticket or provided a prize – thank you all and have a very merry Christmas.
