A care home in Eye has thanked those who have gone the extra mile to support residents throughout the coronavirus pandemic, from the members of the community to its dedicated team members.
Care UK’s Hartismere Place, on Castleton Way, has expressed its gratitude for the consideration and generosity shown by local people over the past couple of months.
From volunteering, to delivering messages and artwork to brighten everyone’s day, individuals and organisations have pulled together to support the older members of the community, and Care UK homes across the country have been overwhelmed by the kind gestures of local people.
Hartismere Place was inundated with support, receiving letters and drawings from local children, as well as tokens of appreciation from Morrison’s. Residents were also delighted to be able to remotely join a church service, set up by The Bacton Benefice.
Whether it’s baking for a resident’s birthday, keeping the morale up through creative activities or encouraging wildlife into the garden, team members at Hartismere Place have also been praised for their unwavering dedication and relentless efforts over the past few months.
Abhilash Gopi, home manager at Hartismere Place, said: “We are incredibly grateful to everyone who has supported us over the past couple of months, whether that be through volunteering, sending tokens of appreciation, or sending letters and drawings to cheer everyone up.
“Every single thought, message and gesture has helped to raise the spirits of our fantastic team and has brightened the days of residents missing their families. It really has kept everyone going.
“On behalf of everyone at Hartismere Place, thank you so much.”
Hartismere Place has been designed to deliver the very best standards of care and to enable residents to live active and fulfilled lives. The home provides full-time residential and nursing care, as well as short-term respite.
