New care home searches for Maidstone’s local heroes

A new care home in Maidstone is asking the community to nominate ‘local heroes’ for the chance to win a £500 cash prize.

Care UK’s Invicta Court, on Gidd's Pond Way, is searching for local people or organisations who go above and beyond for their community, friends or family, and have a positive impact on the local area.

The winner of the competition will receive £500 and be invited to the opening of Maidstone’s newest care home at its grand launch event in July 2020. There will also be two runners-up, with £200 for second place and £100 for third.

Jacqui Pompeus, home manager at Invicta Court, said: “We all know that one person who organises everything, is always there for others and never shies away from offering a helping hand – so here at Invicta Court we want to say thank you.

“Whether they’re a volunteer at a local charity, a community group that really makes a difference to the area, or simply someone who goes that extra mile for others – share your story with us so we can reward them with the treat they deserve.”

To nominate your ‘local hero’, visit https://www.careuk.com/care-homes/invicta-court-weavering/local-heroes before 5pm on Friday 26th June 2020 and explain in 100-400 words why they deserve to be rewarded.

Opening in April 2020, Invicta Court will offer a full range of older people’s care services in hotel-style surroundings, including a café, hair and beauty salon, bar and cinema. The highly trained, professional team will deliver permanent and short-term nursing and residential care, as well as dementia care and end of life care for up to 75 older people.
