The team at Silversprings have taken to the skies to raise funds for a magic table.
Donna Cousins, home manager at Silversprings, on Tenpenny Hill, has raised over £2,500 by bravely completing a skydive.
The generous donation will go towards a ‘Magic Table’, which will be installed in the home, allowing older people to play interactive games, which can be very beneficial for those living with dementia. The games help to stimulate both physical and cognitive activity, and encourage social interaction.
Rana Kolivand, customer relations manager at Silversprings, said: “We are so proud of Donna for completing her skydive, and for raising such an enormous amount of money. It is a huge achievement, so I’d like to say a huge thank you for all she has done on behalf of the residents and the rest of the team at Silversprings.”
Silversprings is a modern care home set in attractive grounds and designed to support residents to live enjoyable and fulfilling lives. It provides residential, nursing and dementia care, as well as short-term respite care.
