The Care UK team at Sandfields, on St Georges Road, enjoyed a special visit from Gloucester Rugby, to get residents in the sporting spirit.
Representatives from the prominent rugby union club met team members, residents, friends and family members at Sandfields and enjoyed chatting over tea and cake.
Home manager, Emma Mackenzie-Bedford, said: “Here at Sandfields, we are always looking to plan interesting and exciting activities for residents, and at a time when rugby-fever is gripping the nation, we wanted to give everyone a special reason to celebrate!
“Many of our residents are Gloucester Rugby supporters and avid fans of the game, so were delighted to welcome Gloucester Rugby in to the home for an afternoon to remember.”
Matches throughout the autumn competition will be shown on the care home’s cinema, with residents and team members cheering on their favourite teams.
