On Saturday 17th August, from 2-5pm, local people can visit Silversprings for an afternoon of family-friendly activities.
The fete will be opened by special guest, the deputy mayor of Cinque Port Liberty Brightlingsea, Peter Ball.
On the day, residents and visitors will be treated to a toe-tapping performance from the Colne Endeavour Band, everyone can try their luck in a raffle and on the tombola, and they’ll be a tasty barbecue.
There will also be a special visit from some feathered friends at Kayla’s Owls, and visitors will be able to get up close with a number of birds of prey.
Donna Cousins, home manager at Silversprings, said: “The preparations for the summer fete are well underway and we are all looking forward to welcoming the local community to Silversprings. Building strong relationships with the people of Thorrington is something we feel passionate about, and we’re thrilled to invite everyone along.
“Hosting a summer fete also provides us with the perfect opportunity to say thank you to the local community for their support, and welcome friends and relatives of residents along to spend time with their loved ones. We’re looking forward to welcoming the deputy mayor and local people for a day of family-friendly fun to show them just what life at Silversprings is like.”
