Asterbury Place celebrates ‘Outstanding’ result

Asterbury Place has celebrated its ‘Outstanding’ rating from the Care Quality Commission (CQC) – the highest rating a care home can achieve. 

Residents and the team at Asterbury Place invited the local community to enjoy a party to mark the occasion. 

Hosting their very own awards ceremony, complete with a red carpet and paparazzi wall, the celebrations included drinks, canapés, music, and speeches from the Care UK team. Regional director for Care UK, Philip Steyn, was also on hand to unveil the home’s outstanding plaque.

Christine Da Silva, home manager at Asterbury Place said: “We are thrilled that the home has been awarded an ‘Outstanding’ CQC rating, and we knew we had to do something special to mark the occasion.
“We all had a brilliant time celebrating our achievement, and it was wonderful to have the local community come along to raise a glass with the residents and team. To achieve such a high rating shows just how committed the team is and I’m extremely proud of each and every one of them. I would like to say thank you for their hard work and dedication, which I know is also greatly appreciated by residents and their families.”

Care UK regional director, Philip Steyn, added “It has been wonderful to celebrate such a fantastic and well-deserved achievement for Asterbury Place. Lead by a fantastic home manager, Christine, the team is incredibly hard working and provides a high standard of care and support for the residents at Asterbury Place.

“It’s great that our homes in Suffolk are being recognised for their commitment to outstanding care and creating a warm and happy home from home environment.”
