On Saturday 19th May, from 2.30pm-3.30pm, Whitebourne is inviting local people for a ‘right royal knees up’ and to raise a glass to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
The home will be adorned with union jack bunting, and residents will have their British flags at the ready for a live screening of the wedding. The care team has also organised a fun-filled day of activities, with visitors and residents able to take part in a baking session, where a wedding cake in honour of the royal couple will be created. There will also be karaoke of everyone’s favourite hits, and a scrapbook session, with residents sharing their own cherished wedding photos.
Derek Purchese, home manager at Whitebourne, said: “We were all so excited when we heard there was to be another royal wedding, and knew we had to do something to celebrate!
“Here at Whitebourne, many of the residents have fond memories of the royal family and the many weddings and celebrations over the years, so this is a brilliant opportunity to reminisce and share stories from the past.
“We’re looking forward to welcoming the people of Frimley to toast the happy couple on what promises to be a wonderful day of celebrations.”
