On Saturday 21st April, from 12pm – 4pm, the team at Tall Trees will be opening the doors to the care home for a free family-friendly event. The day is in celebration of Care Home Open Day, a countrywide initiative to create lasting relationships between care homes and their local communities.
To commemorate the Queen’s 92nd birthday, Tall Trees has organised a royal-inspired party to celebrate the open day. With homemade crowns at the ready, there will be a champagne reception, and traditional afternoon tea for everyone to enjoy. There will also be family entertainment, including face painting and a bouncy castle. Visitors can also enjoy a cake stall and there will be DJ entertainment to get everyone in the party spirit.
Alice Banda, home manager at Tall Trees, added: “Care Home Open Day is a brilliant way of getting to know our neighbours even better, and supporting intergenerational relationships between residents and younger guests. We have plenty of activities and entertainment on offer for all the family, so we hope that the local community will join our celebrations.”
