On Friday 20th April, from 11am-4pm, the team at Stanley Park will be opening the doors to the care home for a free family-friendly event. The day is in celebration of Care Home Open Day, a countrywide initiative to create lasting relationships between care homes and their local communities.
To commemorate the Queen’s 92nd birthday, Stanley Park has organised a royal-inspired party to celebrate the open day. With homemade crowns at the ready, entertainment will include a traditional afternoon tea and live music, as well as a ‘dress to impress’ dress-code.
Christine Gibson, home manager at Stanley Park, said: “Care Home Open Day provides residents and the Care UK team with a fantastic opportunity to welcome the local community in to the home. There is already a buzz around the home, as residents prepare for the big day. We hope that the people of Stanley will join us in celebrating the Queen’s birthday and making this year’s Care Home Open Day one to remember.”
