On Saturday 21st April, from 3pm-6pm, the team at Kings Court will be opening the doors to the care home for a free family-friendly event. The day is in celebration of Care Home Open Day, a countrywide initiative to create lasting relationships between care homes and their local communities.
To commemorate the Queen’s 92nd birthday, Kings Court has organised a royal-inspired party to celebrate the open day. With homemade crowns at the ready, entertainment will include a royal sing-a-long and a traditional afternoon tea, along with a ‘dress to impress’ dress code.
Mitch Lloyd, home manager at Kings Court, said: “We’ve already had a brilliant start to the year at Kings Court, and our Care Home Open Day celebrations are set to be a real highlight. The day is all about enriching the lives of residents by building lasting relationships with the community, so what better excuse to invite the people of Barnard Castle to the home than to celebrate the Queen’s birthday.
“The residents are looking forward to decorating the home fit for a queen, and we cannot wait to open our doors for this royal celebration.”
