Join Hinton Grange for a royal celebration this Care Home Open Day

Hinton Grange is inviting local people to visit the home to join in its celebrations for Care Home Open Day.

On Friday 20th April, from 2:30pm – 4pm, the team at Hinton Grange will be opening the doors to the care home for a free family-friendly event. The day is in celebration of Care Home Open Day, a countrywide initiative to create lasting relationships between care homes and their local communities.

To commemorate the Queen’s 92nd birthday, Hinton Grange has organised a royal-inspired party to celebrate the open day. With homemade crowns at the ready, entertainment will include a 1920s themed indoor street party, including a film screening of life in 1920s Britain and special buffet, fit for a Queen.

There will also be a fun reminiscence session featuring items from the 1920s including recipes, newspapers and clothing as well as fun games and a patriotic sing-along.

Maxine Bain, home manager at Hinton Grange, said: “We cannot wait to open our doors to showcase everything Hinton Grange has to offer, and the difference care homes can make to peoples’ lives and their wellbeing. Residents have enjoyed creating homemade crowns ahead of the royal celebration, and we look forward to welcoming the people of Cambridge for what promises to be a fun-filled day.”
